About Music

A student’s day at camp is filled with music from start to finish. Mornings begin with full orchestra rehearsals led by conductor Joseph Illick, where students feel the thrill of bringing a piece to life together. Chamber Director Rachel Segal then guides small ensembles, giving each student the chance to join in a more intimate musical conversation.

The week also brings new sounds. Jazz Day and Bluegrass Day let students explore fresh genres, build improvisation skills, and appreciate the range of musical styles. Evening concerts for lodge guests and the local community give students the confidence of live performance and the joy of sharing music.
